Chain Tree Chain tree is a large Ficus tree, a popular attraction tourists can enjoy on their way to Wayanad. A local dramatic belief is the main attraction here. It is believed that a British officer took a help of an adivasi youth to cross a mountain terrain and discovered Wayanad. The British officer wanted to solely enjoy the fame of discovering this paradisaical area, so he killed the Adivasi youth. It is believed that the soul of the youth was chained to this tree by a priest and the soul still resides here.
